  Jacob is fantastic! He's been amazing coloring my hair in nearly every shade over the last few years. I always walk out of his salon so happy and confident with my new look.

  Worst cut of my life. I have never written a review before, but I felt the need to share my experience to prevent anyone else from having their self esteem hurt by a bad cut from this salon. I purchased a cut here through Gilt City, and I was so excited based on the stellar reviews this salon has. I specifically articulated to the stylist that I just wanted a dusting to get rid of dry ends and that I wanted to preserve my length. I told her that I did not want too many layers, as I've had bad experiences in the past with having my hair thinned out by stylists who don't understand how to cut thicker, Indian hair. She assured me we'd keep the length and that she would just trim the existing layers I have, adding in some face- framing to help clean up the overall shape. The stylist seemed like she understood what I wanted, but proceeded to cut off way more than I asked, and she got rid of so much of my volume by thinning it out. I can barely get it all in a pony tail now. I don't know if she misunderstood what I was saying, but I could not even see what she was doing to stop her because the seats at this salon are lower to the ground, and they don't raise the seats so that you can watch in the mirror.
  
  I've never been this upset after a cut, and the stylist was not apologetic at all. She didn't say anything to try to make me feel better. I tried to get my money back, but I was told I can't get a refund because of the coupon and to try to contact the owner instead.
  
  This is a classic example of stylists doing what they think looks good instead of listening to their client. The staff was friendly enough, and the salon itself is cute and cozy, but the actual cut was terrible. I would not recommend this salon for a haircut to anyone who actually has thick hair, as the stylists clearly do not know how to cut it without butchering your natural volume. At the end of the day, it will grow back, but it's upsetting since I came in for a simple trim and left feeling absolutely terrible about my hair.
