  My boyfriend suggested we go to Brendan's after dinner, first because he said it was a great bar, and second, it was only a block away and we did not want to walk any further in these horrible sub-zero temps!
  
  We walk in and there's only a couple of patrons, but the decor is so warm and cozy. It took us a while to decide what to drink but we finally decided to stick to drinking bourbon cocktails.
  
  We ended up staying for a couple of hours and really enjoyed our time there. It's a small and intimate neighborhood bar and our bartender was awesome. He was playing really great music (mostly Beck) and he seriously made a great Old Fashioned cocktail. I didn't catch his name, but he was a tall glass of water!
  
  There was a mini rush of patrons, but they mostly left after one drink. It's got a really cool vibe that's totally different from the general Lakeview bar scene. All in all, I'm a fan!
