Be aware of your rights and get it all in writing. Don't trust the people who work there to hold up their end of things unless you do. I was in a situation with them where I had been reassured of something by two of their employees, only to have them go back on that a month later. Then one of the employees who gave me that reassurance LIED and denied ever saying what she said. Granted, it's my fault for not getting a written assurance, but I foolishly thought since I'd been a good tenant for years they could be trusted to keep their word. My bad. Insult to injury? The employee denying she ever said what she said. Hey, instead of trying to lie and deny what you told me, how about owning up to it and saying that yes, you said that, but the owner changed his mind? (I have a HUGE pet peeve lately about people breaking their word and using a lie to do it, and my other one is when people are scared of looking bad so they make me--stupid trusting me--look bad instead) Forget about being a good business person, how about being a GOOD HUMAN BEING. Does anyone even know how to be that anymore? Or will that always go out the window when you start to worry about looking bad? Don't trust these people unless it's IN WRITING. That goes for anyone btw. Lesson learned.
