  Very poor people. People on oxygen, or dope, or just got out of prison. No student body there. Lots of people with very real disabilities, e.g., they don't put the babbling schizophrenics too close to each other lest they make each other worse. The main reason that these people are poor is because of low self-esteem. Also enculturation.
  I have met and interacted with Mr. Jay Bloomberg, the new owner, and I assure you that he is a real class-act. His first day there after buying the property and business we actually got a little physical because he and I were doing the same thing, (I had initiated a constructive eviction of the manager's ex-boyfriend who needed a nursing home stay, but she couldn't bring herself to do it.)
  He painted all of the floors and hallways to give the bugs no place to hide. This was after I painted the floor in my room. Then he installed a commercial kitchen in the lobby to reduce bugs more. Then he built the cooling shelter room. Then he gutted and redid all of the bathrooms so that the bugs could get no water..
  Then Mr. Jay Bloomberg would privately hire pairs of CPD Tactical Officers every few weeks.
  When a porter, Tom, was controversial because an addict died on his watch, Mr. Jay Bloomberg found new housing for him.
  
  I was just a busy-body tenent. I sort of acted like an R.A.
  
  Now let me tell you more about this this little day camp/refugee camp.
  
  Google "cubicle apartment " and realize that the rooms are small, with a chicken wire ceiling, and a bathroom down the hallway. Also know that when your Google search includes the word "reviews " that it gets you into the blogosphere. Each floor has a different character and different standards.   Now about the neighborhood. Uptown's Alderwoman got the big deal with Hudson Bay Corporation signed in 2008 right before the housing economic bubble burst. Look it up. That gentrified the area. It will gentrify more this year as that 10 year price control contract expires. The Alderman is half a block away.
  
  You are a two blocks from Aldi and Target Greatland. Truman Jr. College is right across the street and your rent pays the property taxes within the boundaries of the financial allocation funding that school.
  
  Wrigleyville is south, boystown is northwest, the lake and parks are east, Chinatown is north, and the immediate area used to be skid row which means derelictville.
