  I never started out as a person who thought that church was where I wanted to be; however since I have been part of Saint Mary of perpetual help I know I’m exactly where I want to be. This church has had a long-standing in the Bridgeport neighborhood. For years, this church has always welcomed all people in the neighborhood as place meet and greet with other Catholics. Fr. Tom and Fr. Bart have continually helped to make everyone feel welcome at St. Mary’s. Even if you are not Catholic you are welcome to join us.
  Fr. Tom has helped to build our church community by being the type of priest who listens and cares about his people. He is continually working with those who need help and guidance.

  Best parish in Chicago! My family and I have been coming here for 4 years and have loved every minute. Fr Tom and Fr Bart give every spare minute and more for their flock. The parish isn’t conservative, and isn’t liberal, it’s Catholic, and that’s all we care about. It’s also one of the most organically diverse parishes you’ll ever see...old Polish ladies, young Hispanic families, white collar, blue collar, and Sox t-shirts are seen every Sunday. Everyone is welcome, especially crying babies, and we have a lot, which is great!
