  Our 14 year old son's trip to Costa Rica was a life changing experience. In his words, "I had the time of my life". He loved all aspects of the trip from the hard work rehabbing a school, living in a tent, learning to surf, seeing the smiles on the children's faces when they saw their school upgraded school, and of course the famous oatmeal mixed with peanut butter for breakfast. He gained a more worldly perspective and a broader appreciation of his own life. The trip exceeded his expectations and ours. RLT is an awesome organization and team that is truly making a difference.

  Jim and Donna Stein and their staff at RLT offer exceptional programs for teenagers all over the world. While they vary in focus, each program our son has participated in has resulted in remarkable experiences and opportunities to grow as a person and as a member of a larger group. They payed special attention to maintaining the well-being of our son while also enhancing his experience as an integral part of the group. RLT fosters the development of interdependence within each group in a way that is both subtle and profound. And of course, each trip offered experiences for our son to see new parts of the world, to develop his resilience in managing new situations and to expand his appreciation for what he and others can offer each other.
