  Over the years I have tried close to a dozen bike shops in Chicago, and when it comes to mechanical expertise, Oscar Wastyn is the undisputed Number 1 shop in the area. They have diagnosed issues, fixed mechanical problems and given new life to parts, which other shops have written off or been unwilling/unable to fix (this is very important if you own vintage bikes where certain parts are no longer available on the market). Whenever I have a technical issue these are the guys I trust because every time my machine runs smooth after they work on it. This is amazing when you consider that they also have some of the best prices and don't try to upsell you on stuff you don't need. There is no BS with these guys and you rarely get a smile from them, but I don't care as long as my bike runs smooth and fast! Also I have had some interesting conversations with Oscar and Scott and learned quite a bit about bikes from them
