  I wanted to like this place so much, but the room my husband and I stayed in was gross.
  -the ceiling above the toilet dripped a mysterious liquid
  -shower handle fell off when turned
  -the shower was mildewy and dirty
  -carpet was stained and felt sticky in places
  -the overall architecture of the room felt unfinished: missing moldings, door to the toilet didn't close, nails and screws not flush to the wall
  -everything creaked! Floors, chairs, beds, doors.
  -walls were super thin. We could hear another guest blowing their nose in their room. Didn't feel private. We whispered a lot.
  
  The only reason I'm not giving this a 1 star rating is because the innkeeper was very friendly and the free parking was nice. But SO overpriced for the dingy accommodations.

  This is a very old facility, know that going in, with all of the creaks, groans and old furniture that implies. Also, in many cases, the bathrooms are down the hall from the sleeping areas. That said, although old, it's reasonably clean and the staff are friendly. It's a low-cost, low-end place to sleep if you need to be close to Wrigleyville. As long as you have the proper expectations, I don't see any issue with the place. Just remember to bring shower clogs if you're using a shared bathroom.
