  I bit into a falafel wrap one Friday and encountered intense molar pain. I phone Dr. Matsumoto’s office and was fortunate to get in an hour later. He x-rayed and showed me that there was a slight indication of damage to my canals (suggesting a root canal), and preferred to fill the cavity (less invasive approach, first). I consented, and the filling took no time. Later than evening, I accidently bit onto the new filing and experienced INTENSE pain…that carried into the weekend. It progressed, and I hardly slept that Saturday night because the waves of intense pain wouldn’t let me sleep. The pain was so intense I punched myself a couple times in the face for relief. I had been taking anti-inflammatories all weekend (to no avail). I left Dr. Matsumoto a message early Sunday morning, and he got back to me within two hours (on a Sunday!), stating he would come into his office to fix my tooth that day. His hunch was correct in that I needed a root canal, and he spent nearly 3 hours (on a Sunday) fixing a most painful tooth; requiring several local anesthetic shots, drilling, more shots, drilling, etc. I was so embarrassed because I never experienced so much pain. However, Dr. Matsumoto carried on like he had all the time in the world. Long story short, he remedied the pain (temporary cap with clove pellet to ease the nerves). My tooth ache was completely gone and I was able to sleep, and resume normal eating in a few days. I came back at the next available appointment (10 days later) and was extremely scared (because of the 3 hour ordeal of my last visit). I don’t know how/why, but this visit (the first half of a two-visit root canal) was painless. I even drifted off to sleep at some point. My tooth was infected and Dr. Matsumoto called in an order for antibiotics at my pharmacy. I look forward to my second appointment (crowning).
  
  In all, Dr. Matsumoto went above-and-beyond. I’ve been seeing him for about 10 years and I consider myself quite fortunate for having him as my dentist. I might mention that about 8 years ago I had a colleague visit from the UK. We were scheduled to present research findings at a local conference. Anyway, we met for coffee the day he arrived, and out of nowhere his front (capped) tooth affixed itself to his cup. Imagine giving a couple research presentations without your front tooth (and being English on top of it)! I phoned Dr. Matsumoto’s office and briefly explained the situation. He treated my colleague immediately and remedied his problem for under $100. Wow!

  Dr Matsumoto has been my dentist for over 15 years. He and his staff are always professional and courteous. The office is comfortable and the procedures and equipment are kept up to date. I have never had a bad experience for the services received from Dr matsumoto's office. I highly recommend Dr Matsumoto and his staff.
