  I'm not lying when I say that Hyde Park Towers is perhaps the best apartment complex for its value in Hyde Park. The staff are super friendly, including the manager Ashley and all the great folks at the front desk. The building always feels very secure, and any problems in my apartment are quickly resolved (including clogged sinks, leaky faucets, stuck doors, etc.). The rent is good given the value you get from the rooms, view of Chicago, and the amenities provided. Additionally, you don't have to deal with Mac Apartments because HPT is owned by Aimco. If you've ever lived in Hyde Park, you'll know that Mac Apartments is generally incompetent and makes you want to pull your hair out. But I never got that feeling while dealing with management here.
  
  I was hovering between giving HPT a 4-star or a 5-star review, but after some thought, I settled on a 5-star review. I think that the effort that the staff puts in every day deserves the 5 stars.
