  This Gas Station is a couple blocks from my Best Friends Townhouse (Racine & School) . I came by to borrow his Baseball Mitt . It was my 64th Birthday (17/APR/1953) and I had front row seats for a Cub game .
  
  John and I grew up together in North Hammond , Indiana . We attended St. Casimir (Catholic Grade School) , he went to Bishop Noll and I attended Hammond Technical Vocational , High School . I'm still jealous and Very Proud of my Longtime Friend !
  
  I'm Hispanic and He is Polish . Our families have been close , for over 50 years . Our entwined lives seem so , Intrinsic . I was Best Man at his first Marriage . He came out to visit me while I was Stationed in Oceanside (USMC) California . Our families vacationed together at our Company Condominium in Lake Of The Ozarks , Missouri .
  
  We have comforted each other after countless Deaths in Our Families . And we support each other in a Myriad of ways . Most heartening to me is how much Support John gave me , both Actual & Spiritual . When I started my Journey to Live a Clean & Sober Lifestyle (After 27-years of Abuse) . He shadowed me and assumed control of all my Finances until I was able . He also Chaffured me from Homeless Shelter to Treatment Center to Recovery Home to Veteran's Recovery Home to my (Housing First) Rent Free Apartment (Uptown) . Which is my present Address and 6-years into my Clean & Sober Lifestyle !
  
  The BP Gas Station , seemed innocuous , in as much it's situated close to my Best Friend Johnny's Townhouse !
  
  It's given me an opportunity to express the Love & Respect I have for my Best Friend !
