So, like a couple of other folks here, I had an art school background but life, jobs, etc. led me away from painting and art making. I still dabbled but without a lot of focus. Eventually I reached a point in my life where I needed that creative part of my life back and I realized it was going to take some real work with a good teacher. After taking some classes at a certain local *ahem* famous art school with mixed results, I finally found a great teacher at The Art House. In a little over a year of study with Rebecca George, my painting skill and, more importantly, my creative intuition has matured more than in the previous 3 years of classes. I think that is due not only to Rebecca's skills as a painter and a teacher, but it is a product of her personal investment in the artists who study with her. At The Art House you'll get deep and individual instruction that will push you to places you didn't know you had in you.If you're an experienced painter looking to up your game or a novice who has always had the itch to paint, I don't think you'll find a more supportive and exciting studio and community in which to grow as an artist.
