  I'm going to be honest, I was a little disappointed. I had heard good things, and had been waiting to go here for a while. I live these small places because of the energy and inventiveness of the food, and I still encourage others to go if just for that. The staff are casual and are great at knowing when to approach the table (this is a personal hang-up). In addition, the price point is good.
  
  Now the less-than-positives: being downstairs, I guess there have been flooding issues, and the damp smell lingers. And the food was less than impressive.
  
  I really don't want to be too harsh on this place because there is a genuine attempt to provide a solid and interesting product. Go try them for yourself.

  The ambience is good, food was OK. It is byob and we got a 6 pack beer ....
  
  But the weirdest part was the waiter said he will not open our beer until we order food.. so we ordered chicken melenesa and pork taco dinner but the waiter said he will let us drink only 2 beers and will not open rest of the beer. For us to be able to drink 1 more beer he told us to order 2 more dishes. Quoted by waiter “order one more guacamole and I will let you drink 2 beers each ” he just opened 2 beers and picked up our 6 pack and put it down.
  
  We did not come here to drink but for someone to restrict and say I will only let you drink 2 beers as you ordered 2 dishes at a BYOB place is weird.. never coming back.

  The food was outstanding! Came with a large group and they served us their best vs individual orders. Very accommodating to those that were sensitive to spicy foods and made some great margaritas wth the tequila we brought. A must go!!!
